What was it made for?

This was created during my first year of University for a module called Introduction to 3D Modelling, where I was tasked with creating a list of items in 3DS Max. These included a bottle, clock, log cabin, weapon and vehicle. I was only able to use a certain amount of polygons for each item. The clock item had a maximum amount of 400 polygons (+/- 10%) I could use.

Inspiration and Research

Before creating this model I looked on the internet and real life for inspiration; I wanted to create something interesting that wouldn't take me over the polygon limit. Eventually I began looking at perfume bottles, the only problem being that some had too much detail for 400 polygons. The perfume bottle this model was inspired by had quite a lot of detail, however I considerably toned that down. I was still happy with the final result.
